Guided Imagery & Music (GIM) Therapy
A music-centered approach for emotional healing, self-discovery, and inner growth.
(Private Pay Only – Available in Pittsfield, MA (The Berkshires) & virtually nationwide
What is The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music (GIM)?
The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music (GIM) is a powerful method of music therapy that uses specially selected music to open the door to your inner world. With guidance and support, you’ll relax, listen, and allow the music to bring forward images, feelings, and insights that can support healing and growth.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, GIM offers a non-verbal pathway to the subconscious, allowing emotions and memories to emerge in a safe and supportive space.

Why Choose GIM?
GIM may be a good fit if you want to:
Move beyond talk alone when traditional therapy feels stuck or disconnected
Seeking to engage, express, and release emotions safely
Process trauma, grief, or major life transitions with gentle guidance
Explore healing through a creative, spiritual, or experiential approach
Reconnect with your body, emotions, and inner wisdom
Gain deeper self-awareness and insight into your inner life
Reduce stress and anxiety while cultivating peace and balance
You don’t need to be “musical” to benefit—just open to the process.
What to Expect in a Session
Each session is 60-90 minutes and includes:
1. Check-In & Preparation – We begin with a short conversation to focus your intention and create a sense of safety.
2. Guided Music Listening – You’ll recline and listen to a curated music program (about 30–45 minutes). I’ll gently guide you through imagery as it unfolds.
3. Integration – Afterward, we’ll talk through your experience and use drawing or journaling to help you process what emerged.
